Support Olivia & Caleb
Olivia Wymer and Caleb Rowe, two dedicated students from Central City High School in Central City, Nebraska, have been selected to attend the American Junior Academy of Science conference in Phoenix, Arizona, from February 11-15, 2026. Accompanied by their teacher and chaperone, Chelle Gillan, they will have the unique opportunity to present their research on a national stage and become fellows of the American Junior Academy of Science. This experience will allow them to connect with other high school researchers from across the country and network with leading scientists from around the world.
Attending this conference is a significant achievement for Olivia and Caleb, reflecting their hard work and passion for science. The Nebraska Junior Academy of Science provides funds for student registration and lodging, but not travel expenses or any expenses for their required chaperone. The funds raised will help cover essential expenses such as travel, lodging, conference fees, and meals. These costs can add up quickly, and support from the community will make it possible for them to take part in this life-changing event. There is some urgency, as flights need to be booked by November 2025, and conference registration must be completed by December 2025. Every contribution will help ensure Olivia and Caleb can represent Central City High School and make the most of this incredible opportunity. Your support will help them take the next step in their scientific journeys and inspire others in our community.
To help raise funds, Olivia and Caleb are raffling off a plant bundle and $100 gift certificate from Wild Roots Greenhouse & Market (a $250 value total).
